The No. 1 South Carolina Gamecocks are looking to close out the opening rounds of the 2026 NCAA Tournament with a big victory over No. 9 USC. The Gamecocks played USC in one of the first few matchups of the season this year, winning 69-52. Following the Gamecocks' 69-point rout of Southern in the first round, the oddsmakers in Las Vegas have South Carolina as 23.5-point favorites.
South Carolina is looking to make a deep run in this year's tournament, and wants to prove its three regular-season losses to Oklahoma and two to Texas won't define this team. But the Gamecocks have some big-time teams in their Sacramento 4 Regional, including the No. 4 Sooners—who South Carolina will face with a win over USC. The region also includes talented teams like No. 2 Iowa and No. 3 TCU.Â
