South Carolina men's basketball is looking to extend its unbeaten record start to the 2025-26 season when it hosts Presbyterian on Wednesday night. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET at Colonial Life Arena, with Dave Weinstein and John Willams on the call for SEC Network+. Doors open one hour prior to tip. This midweek matchup marks the third of a four-game homestand for the Gamecocks (2-0), who have lit up the scoreboard in their first two outings. South Carolina has knocked down 30 three-pointers through two games, already matching more than half of last season's total double-digit 3-point games.

Meechie Johnson delivered an unforgettable performance Sunday night in an 83-79 overtime win over Southern Miss. The redshirt senior scored a career-high 33 points, including 14 of the team's final 16, and became the first Gamecock since 2014 to hit seven threes in a single game. Freshman Eli Ellis chipped in 20 points off the bench, while transfer Mike Sharavjamts added 17 points, five rebounds, and three assists in his first double-figure in garnet and black.

The visiting Blue Hose (3-1) enter the matchup riding a three-game win streak following a narrow 63-61 victory at Georgia State on Monday night. Guard Carl Parrish led the way with 22 points, while Jonah Pierce has averaged a double-double so far this season with 15.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.

South Carolina leads the all-time series 34-8, including 25-4 in Columbia. The Gamecocks have won 11 of the last 12 meetings, including a 69-59 win last December in the non-conference finale.

Head coach Lamont Paris' program has continued to build a defensive identity, boasting a 40-9 record in games holding opponents under 70 points during his tenure. If Carolina can keep the same offensive rhythm that carried them through the first two games, another home win feels well within reach.
