South Carolina is coming off a loss against Alabama, licking their wounds, knowing that was a game they could have won. Even after going down 14-0, the Gamecocks were able to score 19 unanswered points in order to take the lead. However, mistakes yet again were the key point of the game and while both teams suffered from them, Alabama made the most of the turnovers they got.

Now, the Gamecocks need to put that game on the back burner and turn the page to prepare to take on the Oklahoma Sooners for the first time in program history. Oklahoma joined the SEC this past summer, and they are also coming off a tough loss to No. 1 Texas in the Red River Rivalry this past weekend.

This is a game that South Carolina has a real chance of winning. The Gamecocks can catch the Sooners on their heels, and if they can play the way they did in the second and third quarters against Alabama, they could win. The mistakes have to be minimized though, the penalties and the turnovers can't happen as frequently as they are in order for this team to win.
