South Carolina vs. LSU: Can the Gamecocks break the Tigers’ streak in Baton Rouge?

The time for the South Carolina vs. LSU game has been set. The Gamecocks and Tigers will clash under the lights at Death Valley in Baton Rouge on Saturday, Oct. 11, the Southeastern Conference announced on Monday. Kickoff will be scheduled for 7:00, 7:30, or 7:45 p.m. ET (6:00, 6:30, or 6:45 p.m. local time), with television coverage coming from either ESPN, ABC, or the SEC Network. The final time and network will be set following the conclusion of games on Oct. 4.

The matchup between South Carolina and LSU marks the 24th meeting between the two programs, with the Tigers holding a commanding 20-2-1 lead in the series. In Baton Rouge, LSU holds the advantage with a strong 13-1 record. LSU has also won eight straight games over the Gamecocks, including a 36-33 thriller in Columbia last season. South Carolina's last victory was a dramatic 18-17 win in Death Valley on October 1, 1994.

The Gamecocks, 3-2 and 1-2 in SEC play, are entering a bye week fresh off a dominant 35-13 win over Kentucky, snapping a two-game losing streak. LSU, ranked No. 13 nationally, suffered their first loss of the season in a 24-19 loss at Ole Miss. The Tigers dropped to 4-1 and 1-1 in SEC play. Both teams will look to regroup and reset ahead of this high-stakes SEC showdown.
