After seven rounds without hearing his name called, South Carolina running back Raheim "Rocket" Sanders is officially NFL bound. Gamecock Central's Mike Uva confirmed the news that Rocket had signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent.

Sanders transferred to South Carolina from Arkansas prior to the 2024 season, and in one year with the Gamecocks, he earned All-SEC honors by amassing nearly 1,200 yards of offense and 13 touchdowns. He was also a clear choice for college football's Comeback Player of the Year.
Among his best performances, the game-winning play in the Mayor's Cup against Missouri was a standout. Sanders caught a pass from quarterback LaNorris Sellers, bulldozed through the defense, and scored. It was a moment that was so electrifying that it registered seismic activity around Williams-Brice Stadium.
At 6-foot and 217 pounds, with an impressive 4.46-second 40-yard dash, Sanders will bring speed and power to the Los Angeles.
