South Carolina's Nick Pringle has opted to re-enter the NCAA transfer portal and is also considering testing the waters in the NBA Draft. Pringle is no stranger to the transfer portal. He started his collegiate career at Wofford for the 2021-22 season, where he played 92 minutes across 15 games off the bench. He averaged two points per game before transferring to Alabama, where he spent two seasons with the Tide.

In his first season at Alabama, Pringle played 288 minutes over 36 games, averaging 3.5 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. For the 2023-24 season, he appeared in 34 games, 16 of which he started, averaging 6.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. After some trouble with the Tide, Pringle was actually suspended twice by head coach Nate Oats before transferring to South Carolina.
Pringle looked at the transfer to the Gamecocks as a fresh start for the 2024-25 season. However, now he is weighing his options again as he decides whether to play elsewhere or pursue a professional career. Whatever that decision may be, South Carolina is grateful for his time on the court in Columbia and wish him the best.
