South Carolina forward Collin Murra-Boyles has officially declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, announcing his decision on Tuesday mornig via Instagram. In his post, Murray-Boyles expressed his gratitude to Gamecock Nation, acknowledging their role in shaping him both as a player and as a person.

In most mock drafts, Murray-Boyles has been projected as a first-round pick, some placing him within the top 10. Given his strong draft projections, it is anticipated that he will stick to his draft decision. However, he does have the option to withdraw his name by June 15, if he decides to continue his collegiate career.

During his two seasons as a Gamecock, Murray-Boyles showed significant growth and made am impact on the court and fans, alike. In the 2024-25 season, he averaged 16.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, also earning Second Team All-SEC Honors. In his freshman year, he averaged 10.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, also earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors.

If Murray-Boyles is selected in the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft, he will be the first Gamecock to achieve this since Ronaldo Balkman, who was selected 20th overall in 2006. Murray-Boyles will also be the second player from the Lamont Paris era to enter the NBA, following G.G. Jackson's second-round selection by the Memphis Grizzlies two years ago.

As much as Gamecock Nation hates to see him go, Collin Murray-Boyles will bring his combination of defensive aptitude and offensive versatility as a promising prospect for the upcoming draft.
