South Carolina is making good use of bowl game practices in more ways than one. Of course, the Gamecocks are using these days to prepare for their matchup against No. 20 Illinois, filling holes, fine-tuning things, and simply getting better.
The Gamecocks had some special guests this week during bowl game prep. Head coach Shane Beamer made a post on X (formally known as Twitter) showcasing that some recently signed recruits participating in bowl game practice.
It’s been awesome having these recent signees go thru bowl practices with us the last 5 days !!!

Much respect for them -They could be at home relaxing but wanted to come practice with us this week !!!
VERY excited about them and the rest of the 2025 signing class 🤙🏻 pic.twitter.com/OTjnwMvBAZ
It looks as though Beamer and his squad had seven guys attending their practice on their winter break from school, and this could turn out to be a very good thing for these signees. Getting these guys into the building early and witnessing how a college football practice is run will help them once they are in the building full-time as a student and full members of the team.
Three-star quarterback Cutter Woods is joined by some future offensive players, including wide receiver Jordan Gidron, who shared Beamer's post talking about how excited he is to join the Gmaecock's program fully very soon.
No place I’d rather be…this is 🏡‼️

Thanks for a great week @GamecockFB @CoachSBeamer @coachfurrey https://t.co/seBQsVjHMm
All of these players will be able to watch the Gamecocks take on No. 20 Illinois knowing a bit more about the team and how they prepared for the big game.
South Carolina is going for their 10th win of the season and is hoping to extend their win streak to seven games. The Gamecocks will make the trip down to Orlando, Florida to play in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl for the first time since 2013.
