The South Carolina Gameocks have added a very familiar name to their roster, securing a commitment from transfer EDGE rusher Demon Clowney. The veteran defender is the younger cousin of Gamecock legend and No. 1 draft pick, Jadeveon Clowney.
South Carolina's defensive roster took some major hits in the offseason with Kyle Kennard declaring for the draft and Wendell Gregory entering the transfer portal. In response, the Gamecocks have moved quickly to secure that EDGE position with experienced talent, and Demon Clowney brings just that to Columbia.

Clowney began his collegiate career at Ole Miss before transferring to Charlotte then Louisville. And now he brings his talents to the Gamecocks lineup to make an immediate impact on the field.
Looking towards the 2025-26 season, Clowney will join a defensive front, led by sophomore standout Dylan Stewart. Wit these two, the Gamecocks pass rush is shaping up to be one of the most formidable in the SEC.
