South Carolina's men's basketball team has added another key piece to its roster. Foward Elijah Strong has committed to the Gamecocks. According to John Whittle of 247Sports, Strong announced his decision on Sunday morning after he took an official visit to South Carolina this past weekend. He will be the fifth transfer to commit to the Gamecocks this offseason.

Strong is a 6-foot-8, 235-pound forward who averaged 9.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 23.5 minutes per game last season at Boston College. He spent two years with the Eagles and has two years of eligibility left.
Strong is another addition to the frontcourt, along with Providence transfer Christ Essandoko. Lamont Paris and the Gamecock staff has also secured commitments from three guards and wings, rounding out a promising transfer class for the upcoming season so far.
