South Carolina kickoff times, tv schedule for first 3 games of 2026 revealed

The Gamecocks open the 2026 season at home against Kent State.

It may be the heart of the college football offseason, but the 2026 college football season will be here before we know it. One sign that Week 1 is rapidly approaching is when we start getting kickoff times and television broadcast information for specific games. 

On Wednesday, the SEC released kickoff times and television network schedule for the first few weeks of the 2026 college football season. Included in the bunch are the South Carolina Gamecocks, which is eagerly looking to rebound from its 4-8 season last year. 

Here's a look at the kickoff times and television schedule for the first three weeks of South Carolina's schedule, including games against Kent State, Towson and Mississippi State. 

  • Sept. 5: Vs. Kent State— 12:45 p.m. ET (Airing live on SEC Network)
  • Sept. 12: Vs. Towson— 7 p.m. ET (Live streaming on SEC+)
  • Sept. 19: Vs. Mississippi State— 4:15 p.m. ET (Airing Live on SEC Network) 

Kent State and South Carolina have never met before, and SEC Network will broadcast the second-ever meeting between the two programs. The game also serves as the season and home opener for the Gamecocks, so you can bet Williams-Brice Stadium will be rocking. The last time the Gamecocks played Kent State in 1995, South Carolina won 77-14.

South Carolina is also expected to have no problems against Towson in Week 2, set for kickoff at 4:15 p.m. The game will not be airing live on television, but the action can be streamed on SEC Network+. The Gamecocks have never before Towson played in program history.  

And in Week 3, the Gamecocks will open SEC play against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Bulldogs and Gamecocks have met just a total of 27 times, as South Carolina has a 17-10 edge in the all-time series. The last time these two met in 2023, South Carolina won 37-30 in 2023 in Columbia.

We are almost finished with the dead of the college football offseason folks, and the season will be here before we know it. Can't wait!
