South Carolina has made the cut for composite 4-star offensive tackle prospect Kamari Blair.
The 6-foot-6, 280-pound big man from Clarksville, Tennessee has the Gamecocks in his final three with Ole Miss and Tennessee. He is expected to make his announcement tomorrow.
Blair took official visits to all three schools along with Wisconsin. He made his way to Columbia on June 6 and had great things to say about his time around the program and the connection between the coaches and players.
“The connection with the players can’t be matched,” Blair said to Mingo Martin at On3. “Coach Beamer even makes the players know everybody’s name. A couple of the players said they were sitting in meetings and Coach Beamer called them out and made them name everyone in a row. That’s a lot different than other places in the country. The family, the brotherhood, is just beautiful.”
Gamecocks want to add more beef to their current recruiting class
South Carolina has just 10 verbal commitments in the 2026 recruiting class and Blair would be a nice addition to an offensive line haul that already includes in-state four-star prospect Zyon Guiles, who committed back in March, and three-star interior line prospect Anthony Baxter from Rock Hlill, S.C.
Guiles likely projects as a right tackle, but there is a good chance he could slide to the inside and play guard. Baxter is a wide body at 6-3, 335 that will definitely play on the inside. Even though Guiles has some position versatility, Blair would be the first true tackle to jump in the class.
Not only would adding Blair to the class send a direct message to conference rivals, but it would also continue the current upward trend of recruiting over the past few weeks. The Gamecocks received commitments from four-star wide receiver Sequel Patterson from Fort Mill, S.C. and four-star defensive tackle Noah Clark from Durham, N.C.
On Wednesday, South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer and defensive line coach Travian Robertson secured a major win on the recruiting trail.https://t.co/5eWbbLqjGL
