The South Carolina Gamecocks are desperately looking to get back on track this week against the No. 16 Florida Gators. Set to go on the road and play in Gainesville, where the Gamecocks haven't won since 2014, head coach Shane Beamer's team is dealing with some significant injuries ahead of the matchup.
South Carolina latest injury report
In the latest injury report released on Thursday evening, the Gameccocks have four players listed as doubtful, including defensive back Quay'Sheed Scott, who left last week's game against Kentucky. Coach Beamer told reporters that he actually went to the hospital for his injury, although no other details were provided.
Also listed on the injury report as doubtful is starting center Carter Miller, as well as EDGE rusher Julian Walker, who has a sack and two solo stops so far this season.
Also on the list is defensive lineman Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy, who missed last week's game against Kentucky due to an injury he suffered against Mississippi State earlier this season. He also missed the game against Alabama due to the injury. Reciever Mazeo Bennett Jr. was also listed on there, but is probable.
"That was a physical game against Kentucky," Beamer said of the injuries via Gamecocks247. "We've been fortunate with the injury report each week, it's been short this week, but it popped up this week. … All those guys, I would say have a pretty good ways to go to be able to play on Saturday," Beamer said. "We'll see how they are the rest of the day (Thursday) and tomorrow and into Saturday."

Florida, meanwhile, has just two players listed on the injury report, in receiver Vernell Brown II, who is listed as questionable on Thursday evening. He missed last week's game at Missouri. Also on the Gators' report are cornerback Dijon Johnson and running back London Montgomery, but both of those guys are listed as probable.
We'll see if anything improves in the next injury report for the Gamecocks, but it doesn't look great heading into a huge road matchup. The next injury report is set to be released on Friday evening at 7:10 p.m. CT.
