The No. 1 seed South Carolina destroyed the No. 16 Tennessee Tech 108-45 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Surrounded by an electrifying crowd, the 108-point win set a new program record for most points scored in an NCAA Tournament game. The previous record was set last year against Presbyterian with 91 points.

With the Gamecocks putting on an offensive clinic with this win, South Carolina will advance to the Round of 32 on Sunday to face No. 9 Indiana, who knocked off No. 8 Utah 76-68 earlier today. The Gamecocks are now 9-0 against No. 16 seed opponents in the NCAA Tournament.
South Carolina scored a whopping 60 points in the first half, the most ever for an NCAA Tournament half. The Gamecocks were shooting 67.2% from the field and drained 13 three-pointers, another season high.
Joyce Edwards was unstoppable, leading the way with 22 points, followed by MiLaysia Fulwiley with 15. Te-Hina Paopao, Raven Johnson, Bree Hall, Chloe Kitts, and Sania Feagin all got in on the action in the second half.
