Walker recently completed her fifth year of college basketball, and in her two years at South Carolina, she played 46 games, however none were as a starter. She suffered several injuries which limited her to 15 appearances this past season, where she only averaged 5.6 minutes of play and 1.4 points per game. Thanks to a NCAA blanket waiver for former JUCO players, Walker will be able to play in the 2025-26 season despite exhausting her eligibility under normal rules.
Walker is the Gamecocks' first portal departure of the 2025 cycle, and she shared a heartfelt message on social media, expressing her gratitude for her time spent in Columbia.
So much love for my time at South Carolina ❤️! Huge thank you to Coach Staley, the entire staff, my teammates, and FAMs. Grateful for every moment, every lesson, and every bit of love. Nothing but respect and appreciation for this chapter, forever a gamecock 🤞🏽🐔. #ForeverToThee pic.twitter.com/EzMmrwG4az
