The Gamecocks will be heading to College Station, Texas on Saturday, November 15 to challenge the No. 3 Texas A&M Aggies. Kickoff has been set for 12:00 ET (11:00 CT), and you'll catch the matchup nationally on either ABC or ESPN.
Texas A&M holds a 9-2 lead in the all-time series against South Carolina. However, the Gamecocks have won two of the three meeting, including a sharp 44-20 victory at home last season. On the flip side, the Aggies have never lost to South Carolina at home in five matchups at Kyle Field.
The Gamecocks come into this one with a 3-6 record (1-6 in the SEC). Texas A&M is riding high this season at 8-0 overall and 5-0 in conference play, looking like a legitimate national contender. South Carolina has the benefit of a bye this week, while the Aggies come off a road test at No. 19 Missouri Tigers (6-2, 2-2 SEC).
South Carolina's recent wins provide belief, while Texas A&M's home dominance and overall record raise the bar. The Gamecocks must avoid slow starts, and Kyle Field is not forgiving. If the Gamecocks strike early and force the Aggies to play from behind, this could swing. If not, Texas A&M's consistency cold dominate.
Here is what else is on tap for Saturday, Nov. 15 in the SEC:
- South Carolina at Texas A&M – 12:00 ET – ABC/ESPN
- Arkansas at LSU – 12:45 ET – SEC Network
- Tennessee Tech at Kentucky – 1:30 ET – SECN+
- Oklahoma at Alabama – 3:30 ET – ABC
- New Mexico State at Tennessee – 4:15 ET – SEC Network
- Florida at Ole Miss – 7:00 ET – ESPN
- Texas at Georgia – 7:30 ET – ABC
- Mississippi State at Missouri – 7:45 ET – SEC Network
This one is a steep climb for the Gamecocks. But the recent success vs. the Aggies gives Carolina reason to hope. The Aggies, meanwhile, are everything you'd expect from a powerhouse: disciplined, dominant, and coming into this with a bullseye on their back. For South Carolina, the mindset has to be bold: treat this not as a "can we pull it off?" but as a "we will pull it off" mission. Because at this level, confidence is the thin line between surprise and slide.
