South Carolina football is hitting the big screen, well sort of.
Netflix has officially announced a team-up with the SEC to produce a behind-the-scenes look at the 2024 football season and the competition and drama behind the sport of football. This documentary will feature 10 of the 16 SEC teams, with the South Carolina Gamecocks being one of them.
The documentary is set to be released in the summer of 2025, and the only team to feature to have made it to the College Football Playoff is the Tennessee Volunteers.
This series is being produced by the same people who put out "Full Swing," which is a look into the PGA Tour and "Formula 1: Drive to Survive." It is set to be an eight-episode series with each episode last around 45 minutes.
The ten schools that will be highlighted are Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, and, of course, South Carolina. The offer was made to all 16 schools, but those 10 were the ones to respond and agree to be filmed.
This documentary will show what happens behind the scenes, inside the locker room, and even give a look into the lives of coaches and players on and off the field. South Carolina fans can be exceptionally happy to get this documentary for the 2024 season as the Gamecocks went through their fair share of ups and downs.
Going from 3-3 to 9-3 with a chance to get into the College Football Playoff is something every Gamecocks fan will be eager to see.
