The College Football Playoff committee officially released their latest rankings, and they were favorable to South Carolina, ranking them at No. 15, three spots up from their last ranking. It is both a good thing and a bad thing that they were also favorable to the Gamecock's rival Clemson, who moved up five spots from No. 17 to No. 12.

The good thing is that a win this weekend in the Palmetto could truly be all the Gamecocks need to get into the College Football Playoff, especially with all the chaos this season. South Carolina has played in seven ranked matchups this season and has lost three and won three, and the final game is played this weekend. A win gives them yet another great game on their resume, making things very tough for the College Football Playoff committee.

This game is so crucial for South Carolina and the fans know that as well and they are letting the team know it on social media.

Well, calling it the biggest rivalry game of the century definitely puts no pressure on it at all. In all seriousness though, this game is huge for both teams as a College Football Playoff spot is on the line here and both teams have the opportunity to grab it.

Just saying that South Carolina fans won't be surprised, they know what their team is made of.

Yes, quite a few things need to happen, but no one thought everything that happened this past weekend would take place, and it did. The door isn't closed yet, and South Carolina is going to do everything they can to make sure it stays open.

Even four automatic qualifiers would make a difference for the Gamecocks, but this is the way it is and it means South Carolina just has to fight that much harder to get in.

Say less.

Yes, Alabama beat South Carolina, but the Gamecock's losses look better than the Crimson Tide's losses.

Again, yes, South Carolina lost to both teams, but their losses look better than both Alabama and Ole Miss.

Could not have said it better myself.
