The South Carolina Gamecocks have one of the toughest schedules in the country, and one of the biggest matchup is on Sept. 26. The Gamecocks will face Alabama on the road that week, in what will mark the second SEC game for head coach Shane Beamer and company.

ESPN and the SEC have now officially announced the kickoff time and network that the Tide and Gamecocks will be broadcast on. Here's everything you need to know:

South Carolina-Alabama kickoff time, TV details

  • When: Saturday, Sept. 26
  • Where: Bryant Denny-Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
  • Time: 7 p.m. ET
  • Live TV: ESPN
  • Live Streaming: Watch ESPN

As you can see, Saturday's game is right where it's supposed to be—on primetime on ESPN. The Gamecocks will travel on the road for the first time this season, and you can bet that Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa will be rocking.

Depending on how South Carolina does against Mississippi State this week, there's a chance that both teams could be ranked inside the Top-25. Alabama checked in at No. 10 overall after its win over Kentucky this past weekend.

Shane Beamer will be looking to get his first-ever win over Alabama as South Carolina's head coach. In his last two games against the Tide in 2024 and 2025, he is 0-2 against Alabama. The good news is also that both of the games were one-score contests.

The last time South Carolina played Alabama on the road, the Gamecocks lost by a close 27-25 final score. South Carolina has only played the Tide nine times since 2000, but the Gamecocks' last victory came in 2010 in Columbia, a 35-21 win. Before that, South Carolina's last win came all the way back in 2004, as the Gamecocks beat the Tide 20-3 in Tuscaloosa.

If South Carolina's 27-25 2024 result in Tuscaloosa is any indication, the Gamecocks proved they can play well against the Tide on the road. But getting a win over Alabama for the first time since 2010 is a big challenge.

Under Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer, the Tide has a 13-1 record at Bryant-Denny Stadium, losing only to then-No. 11 Oklahoma last year.

The Tide are likely to be slight favorites in this one. Lucky for us college football fans, this one will be under the lights, just as it should be.
