It's tough to put into words just how deflating the South Carolina football loss to Texas A&M is for this fanbase. The Gamecocks were up 30-3 at halftime and Shane Beamer was spotted getting the visiting fans FIRED up as he made his way back to the locker room.
Fans are destroying LaNorris Sellers after another South Carolina meltdown
After the first quarter, Beamer had some pep in his step and even tossed a little shade at the Aggies. South Carolina was on top of the world. Then, everything that could have gone wrong - well, it did. The Gamecocks lost 31-30 and no one is happy with Beamer.
This was a contest that South Carolina had no business losing, but the Gamecocks let Texas A&M make history with its biggest comeback win in program history. After the final whistle, Beamer stepped up to the podium and to say some of his comments have even more people upset would be an understatement:
Shane Beamer: I don’t think we got conservative at all. We didn’t go to the Dean Smith Four Corners offense, we wanted to keep it rolling. We left a lot of plays out there.

There are no excuses for Shane Beamer after the embarrassing meltdown vs. Texas A&M
Dude, what? How can you say the team didn't get conservative when you got outscored 28-0 in the second half. The offense couldn't do a single thing right and some of the play calls had people ready to pull their hair out.
The offense looking vanilla is something South Carolina fans have gotten used to this season, as Mike Shula wasn't getting the job done and he was eventually fired by Beamer. In the first half, we saw a totally different team and LaNorris Sellers was dropping some dimes.
None of that transferred over to the third or fourth quarters. It's been a fall to forget for South Carolina, but posting an upset win in College Station was going to bring needed joy to USC supporters. Instead, the Gamecocks are getting laughed at right now.
People are ready to pull the plug on Beamer as head coach, but it's up in the air if that's going to happen or not. The fact of the matter is that he's responsible for the results, but Saturday's showing in the second half was inexcusable and it's going to be tough for Beamer to come back from this.
