We all know who the real USC is, and that is the South Carolina Gamecocks. So when three-star safety Steve Miller committed to USC, he should have used a Gamecock logo, but instead, he has committed to Southern Cal, but nothing is set in stone just yet.

Miller committed to Southern Cal back in the middle of October, but he has kept his options open since his commitment. The Greensboro, Georgia native made an unofficial visit to South Carolina when the Gamecocks took down the ranked Texas A&M Aggies in what was Homecoming weekend and an electric environment at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Now, Miller will have his official visit to Columbia this weekend as the Gamecocks will take on Wofford this weekend on Senior Day. This should be a great defensive outing for the Gamecocks, which is exactly what Miller would like to see.

South Carolina has three safeties in their Class of 2025 commits so far, with two other three-star recruits and a four-star recruit. Miller could be a great addition as a Georgia kid close to home in South Carolina. If there is one thing Shane Beamer has been good at when it comes to recruiting, it is keeping guys in-state and bringing in players from bordering states.

Miller is 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds and has been given three stars by 247Sports. He has been a highly recruited safety with offers from Southern Cal, his current commitment, and many other power conference teams, including Mississippi State, Kansas, Arkansas, Indiana, LSU, Maryland, NC State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, and of course South Carolina.

A player who is highly recruited is typically a good sign because he has something in his play that everyone wants. Even though Miller's official visit isn't coming on a weekend when South Carolina is playing an SEC game, the Gamecocks can still impress if they take Wofford out of the game early and cruise the rest of the way.
