Things just keep going from bad to worse for the South Carolina football team. Leading up to the season, there was hope that Shane Beamer, LaNorris Sellers and Co. could get the Gamecocks to the College Football Playoff and instill fear in the rest of the SEC.

Fire Mike Shula echoes throughout Gamecock Nation after collapse vs. Oklahoma

Through seven games, however, this team is 3-4 and the loss to Oklahoma at home on Saturday was frustrating to watch. The offense couldn't do much of anything, which has people once again calling for Mike Shula to get fired. Beamer was asked if he's thinking about making a change with the play-calling and he was pretty darn angry about it during his postgame presser:

"I made a change - I made a change last week," Beamer said emphatically. "Every week we're continuing to look at how to be better. Every week I do that. Every week I'll continue to do that and continue to evaluate. Next question."

Beamer then went on to say that what gives him hope about the offense improving is he takes into consideration how the team practices each week, while also bringing up the guys who have fought 'their asses off' to get into a position to play for this team despite being injured.

Beamer clearly was not happy, but imagine what the fanbase is thinking. Everything was set for this to be a year to remember, but Shula clearly is not getting the job done running the offense. It seems like instead of the unit improving each game, they're taking a big step backwards.

That's something that can't continue to be the case. Beamer saw enough out of the offensive line not getting better, which led to him firing position coach Lonnie Teasley. When will he decide that enough is enough and he needs to make a switch to put his offense in a better position to win games? What we all saw against Oklahoma was unacceptable. Everyone knows Shula isn't the right man for the job. Apparently Beamer is the only one who's missing that.
