The South Carolina Gamecocks may not have won the SEC Tournament this season, falling to Texas in the championship game. It was a bit of a surprise, marking the first time since the 2022-23 season, that the Gamecocks failed to win both SEC regular-season and tournament championships.

But the Gamecocks are still expected to earn a No. 1 seed this year, with several bracketology projections placing South Carolina in the Sacramento 4 region. South Carolina ended its regular season 31-3 on the year.

As for when the full seedings and selections for the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament will be announced, they will be revealed on Sunday evening. The show will come shortly after the men's selection show slated for Sunday late afternoon.

Here's everything to know about how to watch South Carolina's postseason seeding on Selection Sunday

South Carolina's three losses this season came against Texas twice, and earlier in the season against Oklahoma. The Gamecocks are expcted to be heavy favorites in whatever region they are placed in, with an expectation to reach at least the Final Four.

The last time the Gamecocks failed to win the SEC Tournament during the 2022-23 season, South Carolina fell to Iowa in the Final Four.
