The Gamecocks secured the No. 1 seed in the tournament after finishing the regular season with a 15-1 conference season, sharing the SEC regular season with Texas. A coin flip determined the top seed, which was South Carolina.
In the semifinal matchup, Joyce Edwards erupted with 21 points and five rebounds, while MiLaysia Fulwiley added 19 points. Sania Feagin alco contributed with 14 points.
South Carolina is on the hunt for their third consecutive conference title, clenching four of the last five championships, except for the 2022 season. As defending national champions, the Gamecocks are positioning themselves for a strong run at the NCAA Tournament.
