Today is all about South Carolina taking on No. 12 Ole Miss, but Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer will probably have a smile on his face heading into the stadium for more reasons than one.

South Carolina has been scorching hot on the recruiting trail for the last two days, bringing in three commitments in two days, one for the Class of 2026 and two for the Class of 2025. On Friday, South Carolina got a commitment from four-star wide receiver Jordan Gidron, a hometown kid from Columbia South Carolina.

Earlier today, just hours before the game, The Gamecocks got commitments from four-star wide receiver Malik Clark from Rock Hill, South Carolina, in the Class of 2025, and four-star tight end Jamel Howse from Newberry, South Carolina, in the Class of 2026.

Howse is one of the biggest recruits of the 2026 class so far, especially for the Gamecock offense. Unfortunately, Beamer and the rest of the coaching staff will have to wait an extra year before they can get him and his famous "Howse calls" into the program. Howse is ranked as the No. 7 tight end in the nation and No. 2 in the state of South Carolina.

The commitment of Gidron is huge as he was planning to join in the Class of 2026 but has reclassified and will join the Gamecocks in the Class of 2025. Two highly recruited wide receivers joining the program is huge for a young quarterback, LaNorris Sellers, who will have a year under his belt and be even better come next season.

Beamer bringing in recruits from the state of South Carolina is huge as hometown kids are always popular, adn the state is producing good talent. Three four-star commitments to the program are huge, but three in two days must make Beamer and the rest of USC very happy.

These commitments are great, and it seems like Beamer and his coaching staff aren't looking to cool off anytime soon on the recruiting trail, which is music to the ears of Gamecock fans.
