South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer and his Gamecock program will finish up their spring practice on Saturday with their annual Garnet and Black Spring Game as part of the Big Gamecock Weekend.

The Cocky Trot 5k and Fun Run/Walk will get Saturday started, and there will be other fan events like outdoor concerts and food trucks leading up to the spring game. On Sunday, Williams-Brice Stadium will host a family movie night in which Jr. Gamecock Club members and their guests can come watch a viewing of the movie Wonka (the modern remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).

At 7:00 PM EST on Saturday, though, the biggest part of the weekend will take place as South Carolina football fans will get their first look at the 2024 version of their Gamecocks. Admission to the game is free, and there will be an actual spring game, contrasting with the hot dog eating contest that Ole Miss had during their "spring game."

Fans who can't make it out to Willy B on Saturday will have the ability to watch the game. It will not be broadcast on traditional television, but the game will be available via streaming on SEC Network+ on the ESPN app. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM EST, and Coach Beamer has said that the game will follow a similar format to last year's contest (he did not indicate whether or not there would be a 2-point conversion shootout in the event of tie like there was in 2023).

Fans will have plenty to watch for as they check out the Gamecocks on Saturday as quarterback LaNorris Sellers will lead his team for the first time, the large transfer portal class will make their debuts, and high-profile freshmen like Dylan Stewart and Josiah Thompson will put on their first block C helmets.
