For the second year in a row, South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer is going to be spending the end of April working to earn money for a good cause.

The 2024 Southern Company Peach Bowl Challenge Gold Tournament is April 28th through April 30th, and Beamer will join 22 other coaches to compete for a $300,000 purse for charity. Former South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier, who hired Beamer as an assistant with the Gamecocks back in 2007, will also participate. Beamer will be playing for the Beamer Family Foundation.

Each coach is partnered with another in a two-man scramble team (though, how exactly that will work with 23 coaches in unclear). Stableford scoring will be used. Pairings will be announced prior to the one-day tournament.
