South Carolina football's greatest moments from National Signing Day

Though the Early Signing Day has changed the landscape of recruiting, National Signing Day used to be the biggest non-gameday of the year. Let's look back at some of South Carolina football's top National Signing Day moments.

South Carolina Football's Top National Signing Day Moments:
Happy Harbor Day, 2023

Just because the ESD is the big business day in modern recruiting doesn't mean that the traditional NSD is completely dead.

Last year, 5-star athlete Nyck Harbor had the college football world in the palm of his hand as he announced his decision between South Carolina, Oregon, and Maryland. The Olympic hopeful was one of the most famous players in the '23 cycle as he stands 6'5" and weighs 240 pounds while holding on to realistic Olympic dreams as a sprinter.

It seemed in the days leading up to Harbor's ceremony that the one of a kind athlete would be picking either the Oregon Ducks or the South Carolina Gamecocks, and in the hours ahead of the announcement, things were looking very Oregon green and yellow.

However, Harbor stuck with his first recruiting love and donned a white hat with the iconic Block C Gamecock logo.

Since then, Harbor has been tearing it up for the USC track and field program (already posting top-10 all-time marks for Gamecock sprinting), and he is a breakout candidate in 2024 as he enters year 2 playing wide receiver.
