South Carolina football fans are hoping to get a nice recruiting Christmas present this year. Explosive athlete Jamarrion Gordon, a class of 2026 prospect from Jackson High School in Jackson, Alabama, has the Gamecocks in his final four schools and announced on Thursday that he would announce his college choice on Christmas Day.
Gordon is currently unranked because only the top-100 players in the '26 class are ranked by 247Sports and Rivals and just 78 are ranked by On3. However, he boasts an impressive offer list that includes South Carolina, Penn State, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn, and Arkansas. South Carolina, LSU, Auburn, and Ole Miss are the finalists for the intriguing athlete.
As a player, Gordon splits his time between defensive back (both cornerback and safety) and wide receiver. He is considered an athlete by 247Sports and a cornerback by both On3 and Rivals. He also impacts games on special teams as a return man.
At 6'0" and 180 pounds, Gordon is fast. His nickname "Juice" is well-earned as he brings energy to the Jackson offense and defense with his explosiveness. If the ball is in the air, he is going to make a play on it. As a receiver, he can high-point the football, and as a defensive back, he has a knack for getting a hand between the receiver and the ball to knock it away, even when it seems like he has been sealed off. He is extremely "sticky" in man coverage, and his long arms help him as a playmaker.
Gordon is a high school teammate of current South Carolina football commitment Landon Duckworth, a 4-star quarterback who pledged his services to the Gamecocks this summer. With both players in the '26 cycle, they have two more years left of high school football before being able to sign with any program. Even so, Gordon will announce his verbal commitment on Monday.
