South Carolina Football Christmas:
Gamecock Santa's Naughty List, The Texas A&M Aggies

This is supposed to be a rivalry, right? Every season since the 2014 SEC schedule realignment, the Gamecocks and Aggies have played for the Bonham Trophy. Unfortunately for South Carolina football fans, the rivalry has been extremely one-sided with the Aggies winning all but one of the 10 games in the series (2022).

Because the Gamecocks haven't had much luck against A&M, there isn't much love lost for the Aggies from Carolina fans.

"They're so weird" (mostly true), "It's a cult" (potentially true), and "They do less with more than anyone else" (definitely true) are all common refrains that apply to the Texas A&M program. And even with those criticisms, USC has struggled on the field against the College Station-based team. Heartbreaking close losses and pathetic blowouts both stick under the craw of Gamecock fans.

In the modern world of NIL, Texas A&M has more money than almost any other program, and, as fans of a lower-budgeted program, the South Carolina football faithful resent that majorly.

There's no major hate between these two teams (except for maybe over the garnet vs. maroon debate), but the Aggies still make it on Gamecock Santa's naughty list.
