Former South Carolina wide receiver Juice Wells had to have known that he was not going to get a very warm welcome walking into Williams-Brice Stadium.

There were a lot of narratives swirling this week about Wells' return to Columbia, and the Gamecocks were adamant that they were not focusing on it, but some of the defensive backs have let Wells know that Williams-Brice Stadium isn't his home anymore.

The crowd had also been letting Wells know what they think of him. Every time Wells has either touched the ball or been targeted in the game, all that can be heard in the stadium is the defining sound of boos. Wells was getting booed even just walking into the stadium by the South Carolina faithful. The Rebels fans tried to cover the boos with a "Juice Wells" chant, but it was no match for the angry fanbase that knows how to hold a grudge.

Wells has only caught two passes for 31 yards, but he has been targeted numerous times, with the South Carolina secondary being very stingy in giving up the big pass plays to their former teammate. The Gamecocks secondary has gotten its fair share of chirping in during the game, but they need to let their playing do the talking.

The Gamecocks have struggled against Ole Miss so far in the first half, going into halftime down 24-3. Turnovers on downs and a fumble have plagued the South Carolina offense to this point, as they have only been able to put three points on the board. Quarterback LaNorris Sellers had just two completions in the second quarter. The defense has kept this team in the game to this point.

South Carolina will get the ball at the start of the second half in hopes of getting back into the game with some great offensive drives and solid defensive stops.
