South Carolina basketball is the lone undefeated team in women's college basketball. After dominating Kentucky on Monday, Dawn Staley's team moved to 16-0 (and 4-0 in SEC play). The Gamecocks won big against the 'Cats 98-36.

- The Gamecocks continue to struggle with turnovers, and that trend started early on Monday.
- Kamilla Cardoso had 8 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks at halftime after playing 15 minutes.
- MiLaysia Fulwiley and Tessa Johnson each hit their first three 3-point shots; those were the only 6 makes from outside in the 1st half for USC.
- Ashlyn Watkins threw down her 2nd career dunk in the 1st half.
- Carolina outscored Kentucky by 21 in the 2nd quarter.
- After giving up a score on the first possession of the 3rd quarter, Carolina went on a 10-0 run, gave up another bucket, then went on a second 10-0 run.
- The Gamecocks did not allow UK star Ajae Petty to score until the 1:42 mark of the 3rd quarter.
- South Carolina outscored Kentucky 62-19 in the middle two quarters (29-8 in the 2nd and 33-11 in the 3rd).
