South Carolina basketball coach Dawn Staley has her roster full of big-time players who were elite players at the high school level before they joined the best team in college basketball. The 2024-2025 version of the Gamecock roster will have 10 former McDonald's All-Americans on it, and the only two players who weren't (Chloe Kitts and Adhel Tac) likely were on their way to selection to the all-star game but decided to enroll early at the University of South Carolina instead.

Over the weekend, one of those former All-Americans made a big announcement as Gamecock forward Sania Feagin revealed on her personal Twitter/X account that she would be honored with a jersey retirement ceremony at Forest Park High School. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 15th at 1:30 PM EST at the FPHS gym.

During her Forest Park career, Feagin was a 5-star prospect and top-5 overall recruit in the class of 2021. She averaged a double-double for the Panthers and won a state championship, and now, her #20 jersey will be immortalized.

Feagin was one of three top-5 national prospects who joined Dawn Staley's program in the '21 cycle. Raven Johnson and Saniya Rivers were the others. Bree Hall was another 5-star in the class.

Feagin has been part of the country's best forward and center room in recent years, and she is set to be a big part of the post rotation as a senior. Playing alongside Chloe Kitts, Ashlyn Watkins, Joyce Edwards, Adhel Tac, and Sakima Walker, Feagin and the Gamecock bigs will be a big part of their national championship defense.

So far in her South Carolina basketball career, Sania Feagin has improved her statistical output each year in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and minutes played. As a junior, she put up 6.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.6 blocks, and 0.4 steals in just 15.1 minutes per game as a key reserve off the bench.
