South Carolina basketball learns television information for early-season tournament

South Carolina basketball fans will have plenty to watch the week of Thanksgiving. In addition to checking out Shane Beamer's Gridiron Gamecocks play the rival Clemson Tigers two days after Turkey Day, both the men's and women's basketball teams will be on the court at the Fort Myers Tip-Off.

Lamont Paris' squad plays earlier in the week against Sean Miller's Xavier Musketeers team (Monday, November 25th) and either the Michigan Wolverines or the Virginia Tech Hokies (Wednesday, November 27th) as winners will play winners for the tournament title and losers will play losers in the third-place game.

Dawn Staley's defending National Champions will play later in the week and already have both of their games scheduled against the Iowa State Cyclones and Purdue Boilermakers.

This week, more information on the champs' Fort Myers trip has been revealed. The Gamecocks will play against Iowa State at Noon ET on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 28th) and the game will be broadcast on Fox and streamed on the FoxSports app. The matchup with Purdue will take place on Saturday, November 30th at 11:00 AM ET on the Women's Sports Network. WSN is available on several free television platforms like Roku, Tubi, LG Channels, Vizio SmarTV, and Amazona Freevee.

The Gamecocks have not lost a game since the 2022-2023 Final Four as they went the entire 2023-2024 season with an unblemished record en route to their third National Championship. All three of Carolina's titles have come since the 2016-2017 campaign (they also were the consensus #1 team in the land when the Covid-19 pandemic shut down the 2019-2020 season); no other team in the country has more than one title since 2015-2016.

While the Fort Myers Tip-Off is an early season test for South Carolina basketball, several other games will be played before the Gamecocks head down to Florida. USC will open the season against the Michigan Wolverines in Las Vegas on November 4th and has known non-conference games scheduled against NC State (November 10th in Charlotte), UCLA (November 24th in Los Angeles), and Clemson (sometime in November) prior to the Tip-Off.
