South Carolina Basketball: Current Gamecock's younger sister makes ESPN's recruiting top-60

South Carolina basketball wing Bree Hall has a younger sister who is a star in the 2026 class. Brooklyn Hall is now in the top-60 of the ESPN HoopGurlz rankings.

South Carolina basketball rising senior Bree Hall was an important piece and a starter on the Gamecocks' undefeated, National Championship-winning squad this past year. With one more year to wear garnet and black (and, as Gamecock fans hope, win another title), Hall could be in line for another nice season as an individual player, as well.

USC's head coach Dawn Staley, always vigilant on the recruiting trail, could have another Hall to keep an eye on down the road, though.

Bree Hall's younger sister, class of 2026 small forward Brooklyn Hall, is making a name for herself in the recruiting world. Attending Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio (a suburb of Cleveland), Hall has become a star, and the 6'0" small forward is only getting better.

ESPN's HoopGurlz rankings for the class of 2026 include 60 players rated as 4-star prospects or better (the top-14 are the current 5-star players in the class). Among them is Hall, who slots in as the #55 player in the nation.

Though there is still plenty of time left in her high school career, Hall has started to receive some major scholarship offers, and for those who have watched her film, it's no wonder why.

The rising high school junior is an athletic wing player who has the skillset and the versatility on the court to play multiple positions. Unsurprisingly, there are some similarities between her game and her sister's, and if she keeps improving and rising up the recruiting rankings, she could end up as a 5-star like Bree was coming out of high school.

On defense, she is quick and has long arms that help her be a defensive pest that can rip opponents' handles, cause problems in passing lanes, or even block shots in the post. Her length and fight on the court let her slide down to help out in the post when asked.

Offensively, she has a good-looking jumper and a comfortable handle that work well together to allow her to play some shooting guard, too. When given the opportunity to get downhill, she is an aggressive driver (especially on fast breaks), and she has enough court vision to find open teammates when the defense collapses.

It's far too early to know if the South Carolina basketball program will be part of Hall's recruiting thought processes, but with her sister's experience in Columbia, perhaps the Gamecocks can give the talented wing something to think about as she goes through the process.
