South Carolina Basketball's 2024-2025 Roster Breakdown:
Power Forward Benjamin Bosmans-Verdonk

Benjamin Bosmans-Verdonk is the oldest player on the South Carolina basketball roster, and the sixth-year senior is in his final year of college eligibility. BBV could miss some time due to law school obligations, and he has battled some minor injuries in his career. However, if he is healthy and available, he will provide USC with a tough-minded rebounder off the bench.

Bosmans-Verdonk is a high-character, high-effort player who likely won't be part of the rotation on a consistent basis. However, if Carolina needs some rebounding or physical defense, he could find himself inserted into the game. In less than 10 minutes on the floor per game, he averaged nearly 2 offensive rebounds (3 total boards) and almost 2 fouls per contest.

While he still is not much of a threat offensively, he was better last year. BBV shot over 60% from the field during the 2023-2024 season and made 2/3 of his free throw attempts. Both of those numbers were career highs. As a passer, he has shown the ability to find cutters while posted up, and he sets strong screens that let his ballhandling teammates wriggle free of the defense.

The 2024-2025 version of Benjamin Bosmans-Verdonk will not be the type of player who will light up the box score in any area (other than a potential rebound explosion if given extended minutes), but he will play hard and be a great teammate, making his role an important one.
