OBSERVATIONS
- Starters: Raven Johnson-Te-Hina Paopao-Bree Hall-Sania Feagin-Kamilla Cardoso
- Cardoso returned after a two-game absence, and Feagin earned the first start of her Gamecock career.
- Arkansas had a clear game plan: shoot a lot of 3-pointers and hope they fall. It worked early as the Razorbacks led for most of the 1st quarter after 4 perimeter makes.
- Chloe Kitts didn't play in the 1st quarter but was very good in the 2nd.
- The Gamecocks completely dominated the Razorbacks defensively in the 2nd quarter, holding Arkansas to 9 points on 4-13 shooting.
- Ashlyn Watkins quietly dominated the 1st half with 13 points in 13 minutes.
- The Gamecocks owned the rebounding battle as Carolina secured 27 misses compared to just 14 from Arkansas in the 1st half. The game finished with USC pulling down 53 boards compared to just 21 for Arky.
- The 3rd quarter defense from USC was less than ideal, but the Gamecock offense kept them comfortably ahead.
- The Gamecocks did not block many shots (just 1 for the game).
- Carolina was able to spread out the workload as 9 players played at least 16 minutes. 10 played at least 8.
- Ashlyn Watkins finished the game with 21 points and 11 rebounds in just 21 minutes.
- Tessa Johnson knocked down 4 3-pointers on 5 attempts.
- Every Gamecock scored at least 4 points and had at least 1 rebound in the game.
