So far, the WNBA Playoffs have been a showcase for the South Carolina basketball program. On the first day of the postseason on Sunday, Gamecock alums A'ja Wilson, Aliyah Boston, and Laeticia Amihere had really good performances, and the USC trend continued on Tuesday.

As most would expect, A'ja Wilson had another dominant effort. In a win that sent her Las Vegas Aces squad to the 2nd round, the WNBA MVP dropped 24 points on 9-17 shooting (and a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line). She secured a double-double with 13 rebounds and added 2 assists and 2 blocked shots to her stat line as she helped eliminate the Seattle Storm.

Wilson's South Carolina basketball teammate Allisha Gray went off in a losing effort. Her Atlanta Dream couldn't pull off the upset over the New York Liberty, but Gray was the primary reason things were close. Playing every minute for the Dream, the two-time All-Star scored 26 points, including a 14-point barrage in the 1st quarter. She also chipped in 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block.

Because they did not play on Tuesday, former Gamecocks like Aliyah Boston, Victaria Saxton, and Mikiah Herbert Harrigan will be back in action on Wednesday night. Boston and Saxton will join their Indiana Fever teammates in a win-or-go-home game against the Connecticut Sun. Guards Ty Harris (illness) and Tiffany Mitchell (ankle injury) both are on the Sun roster but are expected to miss the game. Herbert Harrigan and her Mercury team are in an elimination game, as well, as they face the Minnesota Lynx.

Fans who want to watch Indiana vs. Connecticut can tune into ESPN (or the ESPN app) at 7:30 PM ET, and the Mercury and Lynx will take the court around 9:30 PM ET; that game also will be on ESPN and the ESPN app.
