Fans of the South Carolina Gamecocks soon will have an entire day to watch their favorite teams.

Each summer, the SEC Network dedicates an entire day to each Southeastern Conference team in which the network only airs programming for and about that athletic department. In other words, every team in the SEC gets an "SEC Network takeover" day in which their past game, documentaries, interviews, etc. are the only things available on the channel.

Recently, ESPN released their schedule for the SEC Network Takeover days, and the South Carolina Gamecocks have been given a great day for their takeover.

Thursday, July 4th is the Gamecock takeover day, and with so many from the Palmetto State having the day off from work, there are sure to be a ton of televisions and streaming devices with South Carolina athletics playing on them all day.

So far, ESPN has only released some of the programming that will be available for each SEC Network Takeover, and for the Gamecocks, just two timeslots have been revealed. At 8:00 PM ET, the third National Championship win for Dawn Staley and the South Carolina basketball team (the victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes to finish the 2023-2024 season) will air on the SEC Network and ESPN app. At 10:00 PM ET, right after the Gamecocks finish cutting down the nets following the Iowa win, Lamont Paris' 2023-2024 squad will light up screens as they dismantle the Kentucky Wildcats at Colonial Life Arena.

The rest of the details surrounding the South Carolina Gamecocks SEC Network Takeover will be revealed later.
