How to watch, injury report for South Carolina football vs. Old Dominion Monarchs

South Carolina football fans: the Gamecocks are back!
On Saturday, the South Carolina Gamecocks will welcome the Old Dominion Monarchs to Williams-Brice Stadium for the season opener to the 2024 football season. Kickoff for year 4 of the Shane Beamer era is set for 4:15, and the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network and streamed on the ESPN app.
Shane Beamer's team is confident that 2024 will be better than 2023, and the group will be counting on lots of new faces inside Gamecock helmets on Saturday. Carolina will play at least 15 freshmen or transfer portal additions in the rotation this year (and, potentially, even more than that). Some of the most prominent new newcomer names include redshirt freshman starting quarterback LaNorris Sellers, true freshman 5-star prospects Dylan Stewart and Josiah Thompson, and transfer portal additions like Rocket Sanders, Kyle Kennard, Torricelli Simpkins, Gage Larvadain, and Vandrevius Jacobs.
According to Coach Beamer, the 2024 version of the South Carolina football team is pretty healthy heading into the first game of the year, but there are a handful of Gamecocks who will not play. Defensive back Zahbari Sandy is out for the year with an ACL injury, and offensive linemen Aaryn Parks and Jakai Moore are out and could miss significant time.
Wide receiver Gage Larvadain, defensive back Emory Floyd, offensive lineman Markee Anderson, and running back Bradley Dunn are among the players who have dealt with some minor injuries this preseason, but no official word has come regarding how available any of them will be on Saturday. Coach Beamer only said some players were "questionable" when speaking during his weekly "Carolina Calls" show on Thursday. This week, the SEC passed a new mandate requiring accurate injury reports, so the injury situation should be more clear next week.
