How to watch, injury report for South Carolina football vs. LSU Tigers
By Kevin Miller
South Carolina football fans are feeling much better now than they did this time a week ago. The Gamecocks are 2-0, and despite not playing well in an opening win over Old Dominion, USC dominated the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington, Kentucky last Saturday and hope to carry momentum from that win into this weekend's game against the LSU Tigers.
On Saturday, with College GameDay on hand, the South Carolina Gamecocks and LSU Tigers will meet inside Williams-Brice Stadium for a Noon ET kickoff. The game will be available on ABC, ESPN+, and ESPN app. The College GameDay show will begin at 9:00 AM ET and will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPNU and streamed on the ESPN app.
For DirecTV customers who do not have access to ABC or the ESPN family of networks right now because of the ongoing carriage dispute between DirecTV and Disney, here is a helpful guide for some ways to watch the game this weekend (the guide was for the Kentucky game, but everything still applies for the LSU contest).
The availability report for this weekend has been updated a few times since the initial report that was published on Wednesday. Offensive lineman Jakai Moore remains out, and the previously designated "doubtful" Andrew Colasurdo is now out. Defensive back Emory Floyd was labeled "probable" on Wednesday but has been downgraded all the way to out. Rotational players Trovon Baugh (offensive line) and Gage Larvadain (wide receiver) have been bumped up to "probable."
LSU has a long list of players injured. The most impactful ailments will see starting running back John Emery, starting wide receiver Chris Hilton, starting safety Jordan Allen, rotational defensive end Da'Shawn Wommack, and starting defensive tackle Jacobian Guillory out for the game. Rotational linebacker West Weeks has been reported as being out for the weekend, but Brian Kelly has disputed the report and lists Weeks as "questionable."
The Gamecocks opened as nearly a 10-point underdog, but the line has dropped to right around a touchdown advantage for LSU. Shane Beamer's team has been a popular "upset" pick this week in the lead-up to this game
South Carolina football has not beaten LSU since 1994, and a victory for USC on Saturday would be just the team's third 3rd win in 23 tries over the Bayou Bengals.
