South Carolina basketball coach Lamont Paris has three prospects committed in the class of 2025. Dynamic scoring guard Eli Ellis, athletic forward Hayden Assemian, and versatile forward EJ Walker all have pledged themselves to the Gamecocks, giving USC a strong class in the '25 cycle.

However, Coach Paris might not be done with this year's recruiting class.

Carolina has been involved with a few other players in the cycle over the last couple of months, but a new name has emerged recently.

About a week ago, Washington DC wing Grant Polk announced that he had received an offer from the South Carolina basketball program, and now, he is coming on a visit. According to reports from 247Sports' Colby Giacubeno and GamecockCentral's Wes Mitchell, Polk will start an official visit in Columbia on Thursday.

As a prospect, Polk is a 3-star prospect according to 247Sports but remains unranked by other outlets as he is a late arrival in recruiting circles. Most of his scholarship offers are from smaller schools, but Florida Gulf Coast, George Washington, and Iona are among the more impressive names on his offer list alongside the Gamecocks.

Polk is a long wing player who specializes in shooting the basketball. Listed at either 6'6" or 6'7" depending on the outlet, Polk is a deadeye from the perimeter who has enough size and length to get off clean looks against most closeouts, and he likes to put the ball on the floor for a pull-up jumper moving to his right.

While the St. Alban's School product won't wow anyone with athleticism, he moves well enough to get himself open for catch-and-shoot 3-pointers, and given some time in a college weight room, he will be able to use his size to help him take and make more contested shots and become a stronger finisher at the rim.

You can watch some of his film here.
