The South Carolina Gamecocks will take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon. As head coach Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks begin SEC play, South Carolina is listed as a slight 4-point favorite at home.
On Saturday morning before the game, the ESPN "College GameDay" crew of Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit and guest picker Morgan Freeman picked the outcome of the game between the Gamecocks and Bulldogs.
Here's how all the picks shook out.
Howard started things off, and although his graphic initially showed South Carolina, he switched it to Mississippi State. Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban also picked the Bulldogs. With his pick, he specifically stated that he thinks Bulldog quarterback Kamario Taylor is one of the best players in the state of Mississippi, and that no one has been able to stop him in the last couple of weeks.

McAfee picked the home Gamecocks, and Freeman, in a bit of a surprise as an Ole Miss fan, went with the Bulldogs. In the final pick on the desk, Kirk Herbstreit picked the South Carolina Gamecocks to get a win at home.

Herbstreit and McAfee both added that they think the game will be close, but added that the Gamecocks having home field advantage is a big plus for South Carolina. The crew also added that South Carolina getting star EDGE rusher Dylan Stewart on defense is a big advantage for the Gamecocks on defense.
The Gamecocks and Bulldogs will kick off at 4:15 p.m. ET, and the game will air live on SEC Network.
