The crowd at Williams-Brice Stadium was loud and star-studded on Saturday afternoon. Not only were there some big-name recruits, but there were a few superstars there as well. Among the notable faces in attendance for South Carolina's matchup with No. 4 Alabama was country music star Luke Bryan. The five-time CMA Entertainer of the Year wasn't performing, however. He was simply being another dad on a recruiting visit. Bryan was in Columbia with his oldest son, Bo Bryan, a junior quarterback at Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, Tennessee. The Wildcats are actually led by former South Carolina assistant coach Bobby Bentley, who spent multiple seasons on the Gamecocks' staff under head coach Will Muschamp.

Bo Bryan, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound signal-caller, has seen sime as a backup QB this season. In Friday's 56-14 win over Greenpasture Christian, Bryan went for a perfect 3-for-3 passing for 25 yards. Through six appearances this fall, he has completed 23 of 36 passes for 262 yards and four touchdowns while helping Battle Ground post an 8-1 record.
This isn't Bo Bryan's first visit with an SEC atmosphere this season, however. The junior recently attended a Georgia Bulldogs game on another recruiting trip. His dad, Luke Bryan has long been a well-known Georgia fan, and Bo is close friends with the UGA quarterback commitment Jared Curtis.
Bryan last performed in Columbia back in 2017 at the Colonial Life Arena, but his return to the Palmetto State this weekend came with a different sort of spotlight. One that is centered around family and football for the next generation.
