As the South Carolina Gamecocks football team prepares for the 2025 season, rising star quarterback LaNorris Sellers is also making an impact off the field. The Heisman hopeful is set to host a youth football camp in Columbia on July 20, aimed at inspiring and developing the next generation of athletes. The camp will take place at Strom Thurmond Wellness & Fitness Center Fields at 1000 Blossom Street from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will welcome young football players from the ages of six to 17 years old. Those who are interested in the youth camp can register online here, or you can sign up the same day starting at 8:30 a.m.
Sellers will personally be there to lead drills that are focused on fundamental football skills, leadership qualities, and sportsmanship. The camp is designed to inspire young athletes while also offering an opportunity to learn from one of college football's brightest and most talented playmakers.
Shortly after hosting the youth camp, Sellers and the Gamecocks will begin their own preseason fall camp in early August. Riding the momentum of last season and the current national hype surrounding the team, expectations for the Gamecocks are high this year. South Carolina will open their 2025 campaign on Sunday, August 31, against Virginia Tech at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Kicking off the 2025 season with a win would put the Gamecocks on track for a College Football Playoff berth. And QB1 LaNorris Sellers is proving that he is not only the cornerstone of the future of Gamecock football, but he is also a leader investing in the community that love Carolina Football.
