After the season that LaNorris Sellers put together in 2024, all eyes will be on him in 2025 as the sophomore quarterback prepares to try and lead the Gamecocks to their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance.

The 2025 season is highly anticipated for Sellers as this could be his final season if he chooses to declare for the 2026 NFL Draft. Sellers has been high up on the draft boards for the 2026 draft, and if he chooses to leave South Carolina early, he could be projected as one of the top three quarterbacks in the draft class.

CBS Sports shared what NFL scouts are saying about Sellers when it comes to the 2026 NFL Draft, and his size alone is what could give him a huge edge and make him a top-three QB. Sellers comes in at 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds with a 4.4 or 4.5 second 40-yard dash time, showing not only does he have the size, but also the speed teams would be looking for.

The top two quarterbacks constantly talked about heading into next year's draft are LSU's Garrett Nussmeier and Clemson's Cade Klubnik, but don't think Sellers has been left out of the conversation either. One NFL scout even ranked the three, putting Nussmeier at one, Klubnik at then Sellers at three, almost in a "wild card" spot.

Last season, Sellers finished with a 65.6 completion percentage with 2,534 passing yards and 18 passing touchdowns compared to only seven interceptions. The dual-threat QB also added 674 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground to his total, making his style of play something NFL teams can't ignore.

The 2025 season will be one in which Sellers will have to show even more growth and sustainability in his play. Taking as many hits as he does can wear a quarterback down and make them prone to injuries. If Sellers can stay healthy and show teams he can do it all, he just might work his way into a top draft spot in 2026 if he wants it.
