Gamecocks QB joins Beats by Dre Elite NIL Class

South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers continues to climb the national spotlight, and on Tuesday he added another accolade to his growing résumé. Sellers was named to the 2025 Beats Elite Class, a prestigious NIL campaign rolled out by Beats by Dre that highlights some of college football's brightest stars. LaBeats, if you will.

Sellers is joined by eight other athletes in this year's class, which includes Alabama WR Ryan Williams, Michigan QB Bryce Underwood, Georgia RB Nate Frazier, Texas LB Colin Simmons, Oregon QB Dante Moore, Florida QB DJ Lagway, Oklahoma QB John Mateer, and Ohio State safety Caleb Downs.

Sellers Among the Most Marketable in College Football

The Beats Elite campaign is now in its third year and has consistently featured household names in college athletics. The addition of Sellers not only cements his status as a rising star on the field, but it also promotes him as one of the most marketable figures in the sport.

According to On3, Sellers carries a remarkable NIL valuation of $3.7 million, placing him in the Top 30 among all college football players. Sellers shares the top spot in this year's group of players along with Florida's Lagway, followed by Underwood at $3M, Mateer at $2.7M, Williams at $2.7M, and Downs at $2.4M.

A Rising Star in Columbia

Sellers earned national recognition in 2024 as the Freshman Offensive Players of the Year, throwing for 2,534 yards and 18 touchdowns while rushing for 674 yards and seven more scores. He carried the Gamecocks to a late-season surge, and expectations heading into the 2025 season are even higher.

Sellers is already named one of BetMGM's Top 12 Heisman favorites as South Carolina gears up for their season opener against Virginia Tech at the end of the month. With his ability to extend plays with his legs while showcasing a strong arm, he has drawn comparisions to several NFL greats. And clearly, brands like Beats have taken notice of his charisma and reach on and off the field.
