Just one half into the game against Alabama, fans are ready to let Shane Beamer go
Last week was bad for South Carolina, and it doesn't help that after the game against Ole Miss, the Gamecocks had to face an angry Alabama team that had just been upset by Vanderbilt the week before. The Gamecocks needed to come out and do something impressive for fans to feel better about this team.
Just one half into the game, however, there have just been mental mistakes, penalties that kept the defense on the field when they got a stop, and just bad play calls and decisions on the offensive side of the ball.
Fans are getting fed up with it, and the crowds are starting to circle. Head coach Shane Beamer might have to start fearing for his job as the "fire Beamer" chants are starting to be heard on X (formally known as Twitter).
Here are some fans who have some words for Beamer and how he is choosing to lead this team.
Well, the man needs to get home somehow and right now buying plane tickets is a very expensive thing to do, especially so last minute.
This would be tough to do; the Gamecocks do need someone to finish coaching the game.
This would truly be a shock for everyone in college football. Fans have been calling for Florida head coach Bully Napier to be fired for a long time now.
This is pretty clever, get it? Instead of a for sale sign, you put a T because it's time for him to go.
Well, if he does, he isn't exactly choosing to go out with a bang, now, is he?
A lot of fans are unhappy with the playcalling of offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains and are calling for Beamer to fire him. If Beamer is unwilling to do so, they say can Beamer as well and start over.
Well, it all starts with good coaching. Being good is normally the bare minimum a coach needs to be in order to have the job, but according to this fan, Beamer lacks the basic traits of a good coach.
This sums it up pretty well. The team doesn't look good, they don't look disciplined, and something needs to be changed. Whether it is with the coordinator positions or the coaching staff as a whole, clearly a change is needed.
