After the way things went for South Carolina football last week, it's safe to say that some fans have been a bit down in the dumps. Well, some fantastic news has arrived courtesy of reporter Pete Thamel that will surely bring a smile to your face.

Virginia Tech can dream but Shane Beamer belongs at South Carolina

That news is that star quarterback LaNorris Sellers will be in action on Saturday to take on Missouri. Sellers went down with a concussion last weekend after taking a hard hit. With him out of action, it opened the door for Vanderbilt to cruise to a lopsided win. Come Week 4, though, Sellers is indeed all set to play and his presence alone is huge for Shane Beamer and his offense:

LaNorris Sellers Injury Update: Star QB all set to play for South Carolina vs. Missouri

With Sellers getting hurt vs. Vandy, the Gamecocks couldn't get into any kind of a rhythm on offense and eventually a 31-7 loss was posted. It was a brutal loss for USC and now it has people worrying that the team might not be able to sneak into the CFP.

With that said, the Gamecocks are now going to take things one game at a time and a convincing win over Missouri on Saturday is needed. When he's at full health, Sellers is without question one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC. Heck, you could make the argument that he's one of the best QBs in the country.

He's going to want to remind everyone of that in Week 4 against the Tigers. When Sellers wasn't able to return against Vanderbilt last Saturday night, a lot of us feared that he'd be out for a little while. That has proven not to be the case and a big game vs. Mizzou should be on the way for him in this one.
