How to watch South Carolina's round-one NCAA Women's Tournament game: Network, odds, and more

The Gamecocks are dancing once again in March Madness.

The South Carolina Gamecocks are back in the NCAA Tournament, earning the No. 1 overall seed in Sacramento Regional 4. It marks the 10th time the Gamecocks South Carolina has earned a No. 1 seed. Dawn Staley's team will be seeking a fourth national title under her tenure. 

As the No. 1 seed, the Gamecocks get the benefit of hosting the first and second-round games at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. That'll be a huge advantage for South Carolina as it seeks to make a deep run in the tournament. 

Here's a look at the details on the Gamecock's first-round game.

  • Opponent: TBD

Saturday's first-round game will air live on ABC. For those without cable, the game will also live stream on the ESPN app and ESPN+. 

As for the Gamecocks' opponent, that is not set just yet. 

South Carolina will play the winner of Thursday evening's first-round game between the No. 16 Samford Bulldogs and No. 16 Southern Jaguars. 

From there, the Gamecocks will play the winner of Saturday afternoon's matchup between No. 8 Clemson and No. 9 USC. South Carolina actually played and beat both teams during the regular season this year.

Although the Gamecocks lost several starters from last year's team that made the national title game, it's been a great season for the Gamecocks. South Carolina enters 31-3, anchored by forward Joyce Edwards and guard Ta'Niya Latson, with center Madina Okot holding down the boards (10.9 RPG).  

South Carolina National Championship odds

The Gamecocks appear to be underdogs in this year's tournament. DraftKings puts South Carolina at +800 odds to win it all behind UConn (-265), UCLA (-550) and Texas (+700). 

At FanDuel, the Gamecocks are behind UConn (-270), UCLA (+480) and Texas (+850) with +900 odds.   have the same odds as Texas at (+850).    

Over at BetMGM, the oddmakers once again are favorite UConn (-275), UCLA (+550) and Texas (+650) over the Gamecocks, who have the fourth-best odds to win it all at +900.
